Who are we?
SFE
At the service of the underprivileged populations in Laos
The Service Fraternel d’Entraide is a French NGO which has been implementing rural development and health projects in Laos since 1998.
Our commitment is for the long term, our representatives are qualified professionals who learn the language and culture so as to be close to the Laotians in order to respond better to the issues encountered.

Our fields of activities
Health, agriculture, disability and integration
The SFE carries out cooperation projects in the following sectors:
- Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
- Sustainable Agriculture
- Community Health
- Hospital cooperation and medical training
- Disability and inclusion
Our activities aim to improve the living conditions of the most underprivileged populations and to strengthen the capacities of local actors at all levels, with a particular emphasis on training and awareness raising.
The actions are defined and carried out in constant consultation with the communities in the target villages of the projects.
Investing in people is the most sustainable choice we can make!

Our impact
Our impact in Laos
With over 20 years of experience in Laos, the SFE has impacted the life of many villages in several provinces of the country.
- More than 100 villages now have access to safe drinking water and improved hygiene, and have embarked on improved and sustainable agricultural practices.
- Many medical service providers in three southern provinces and one northern province have received better training. The populations have been sensitized for better health care.
- Hospitals and dispensaries in these same provinces were able to improve their equipment and the quality of services to the population.
Working alongside Laotians in Attapeu for over 20 years:
The SFE celebrated 20 years of presence in the province of Attapeu on April 30, 2018.

How to contribute
Institutional donors do not cover the entire budget, so we need private donations to be able to continue our work in Laos.
